Great apps & websites like OfferUp, LetGo, Craigslist, and Facebook allow people to meet strangers to buy, sell and trade goods. What's not great is the lack of security. There are currently no secure locations in NYC where people can barter. As a result many citizens, especially young entrepreneurs, are victims of robbery and assault. Andrew has lobbied to establish internet purchase exchange locations across NYC in police precincts where the public can conduct legal, locals deals made online.
Since May 2018, Andrew and Steven have gotten four (4) City Council members to sign on to the bill:
New York City Council Int. No. 567
Sponsor: Councilmember Mark Treyger
Committee on Public Safety, Chairman Donovan J. Richards
